赤縣神州
赤縣神州是中國人自古以來對中國和中國的領土的泛稱，亦常簡化為神州。
相傳中國古代有炎帝和黃帝，炎帝統轄的土地叫赤縣，黃帝統轄的土地叫神州。黃帝打敗了炎帝後，統一起來就稱作「赤縣神州」。
在陰陽家的世界觀中，《禹貢》九州即是赤縣神州，僅為全天下81個小九州之一。
